Alison Doody

Alison Doody has been an Irish model and actor from 11 November 1996. Following her film debut by playing a minor role in the Bond film A View to a Kill (1985) she went on to appear as a an archaeologist who is sympathetic to Nazis, Elsa Schneider, in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade (1989). The other roles she played include Siobhan Donavan as Charlotte in A Prayer for the Dying (1987) Charlotte in Taffin (1988) as well as Rebecca Flannery in Major League II (1994). Doody was approached by a photographer who asked her to perform the role of a model. Doody then began to build a career of commercial modelling. Doody was extremely strict about not doing glamorous or sexually explicit work. This rule extended into her acting career. Having come to the attention to the director of casting for a new James Bond film she accepted an unimportant role as Jenny Flex in 1985's A View to a Kill. Doody was named one of the 12 most promising actors of the year in 1986 in John Willis Screen World. 38. Doody She was just 18 when she portrayed Doody in the movie A Prayer to the Dying (1987) which starred Mickey Rourke. She is the youngest Bond girl who has a name to her. A Prayer for the Dying with Mickey Rourke also had a part for Doody as IRA Siobhan. Doody played the role of Archibald's wife, Lilias In his dream in the 1987 adaptation of The Secret Garden. In a Jim Henson fantasy episode The Storyteller in 1988, Doody played Sapsorrow with John Hurt Dawn French Jennifer Saunders. The actress starred alongside Pierce Brosnan as Dr. Elsa Schneider, an Austrian Nazi sympathizer as well as a forensic archaeologist in the 1989 film Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. Doody is a member of the James Bond family, having played alongside Sean Connery and Jonathan Pryce in 1989's Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. In the year 1991, Doody played alongside Jonathan Pryce in British mini-series Selling Hitler inspired by the publication fraud, also known as the Hitler Diaries. Following her move to Hollywood Doody was famous. She starred as Flannery on the screen in Major League II, opposite Charlie Sheen. After a long absence from the stage Doody was back in the acting world with a small role in 2003's British comedy film The Actors with Michael Caine acting as herself in an awards ceremony scene. The year 2004, she was in the film alongside Patrick Swayze alongside a TV adaptation of King Solomon's Mines. Also Doody was as a character in Benjamin's Struggle (2005), an essay on the Holocaust. In 2010 Doody played a role on Danny Dyer's feature film The Rapture (2010). Doody was later a guest on RTE's medical drama The Clinic and was set to be the lead actress in a remake of horror classic The Asphyx but the project later stalled. Pam Jefferson is her role in the E4 Comedy Drama Beaver Falls' first of two seasons. In 2014 she appeared in We Still Kill the Old Way. In November she received the Almeria Tierra de Cinema Award and was awarded a Star on the Walk of Fame in Almeria.
